ZARE Installs Italy’s First 3D Systems ProX SLS 6100 3D Printer
3DZ takes one of the most important 3D printing services to new challenges
Zare, with more than 50 years of experience and professionalism in precision mechanics, entered the rapid prototyping sector in 2009 and has grown year by year since then. It quickly consolidated its skills and expanded its machinery to include metal sintering and large-format prototyping plants.
In 2011 it inaugurated the area dedicated to the post-process, the finishing of prototypes and the preparation of dental and medical models. Finally, it completes its offer with special surface finishing services, reverse engineering, laminates and light fibres. Zare serves customers in a variety of industries, including Motorsport, Aerospace, Automation and Packaging, Oil & Gas, Medical and Dental. Now it is preparing to face a new challenge, the positioning in an international market.
Zare installs the first ProX 6100 in Italy of 3D Systems at the end of July 2018.
ProX SLS 6100
ProX SLS 6100 3D Systems uses selective laser sintering to produce prototypes and durable manufacturing parts in a wide range of industrial-quality nylon materials. The printer offers fast build times, automated production tools, including automatic material handling, and a total cost of ownership 20% lower than comparable 3D printers.

Zare learned about the ProX SLS 6100 for the first time at the Formnext 2017 trade show at 3D Systems stand. 3DZ, the only 3D Systems reseller in Italy, has managed the process of purchasing and installing the machine for the customer.
“We immediately liked the quality of the pieces we saw at Formnext in November and have been considering the printer ever since,” said Andrea Pasquali, general manager of ZARE. “We chose the ProX SLS 6100 because the speed, part quality and dust handling process are revolutionary in 3D printing. We are a very competitive company in the manufacture of components and products. The ProX SLS 6100 will ensure that the commitment to the customer is maintained and that components of the highest quality are supplied“.
“We recently used the ProX SLS 6100, even before our course was completed, on 3D print test brackets for an automated packaging system using 3D Systems’ fiber-reinforced, high temperature-resistant DuraForm® ProX HST composite material,” explained Pasquali. “This type of advanced additive technology will help us to bring our business, now rooted mainly in Italy, into a global market“.
“I am pleased to join 3D Systems in the communication of the first ProX SLS 6100 installed in Italy. ProX SLS 6100 is the perfect solution for companies like Zare who need to produce accurate parts with excellent surface finishes that can withstand the rigors of everyday use“. Ivan Zannol, Country Manager of 3DZ Italia, said. “This installation at Zare, one of the largest 3D printing services in Italy, should pave the way for other Italian companies to take advantage of 3D SLS printing solutions from 3D Systems“.
