Artec Studio 14
Unparalleled power and ease of use
Expanded CAD/CAM functionality
Artec Studio 14 makes workflow even easier and more intuitive. In the past, exporting to CAD/CAM applications would have required an intermediate application to add surfaces to your model. But now in Artec Studio 14, for several reverse engineering workflows, this step has been completely eliminated!
Maximum support from Artec Ray and Artec Micro
All Artec Studio 14 tools have been reworked and enhanced to support large data sizes from Artec Micro and Artec Ray. With the Artec Micro industrial desktop 3D scanner and the Artec Ray long-range laser tripod scanner, you have all the tools you need for precise digital object capture in Artec Studio. Ideal for quality inspection, reverse engineering, industrial design and more.
Integration with Artec Micro
Since the release of the latest version of Artec Studio, a new member of the Artec family of scanners has made its debut: Artec Micro, a desktop scanner designed for unrivalled quality inspection, in a single click, for small and tiny objects. With a dot accuracy of up to 10 microns, Micro excels in quality assurance and reverse engineering, as well as in jewelry, design and dental applications. Artec Studio 14 is integrated with Micro, so longtime software users can already take advantage of Studio’s unprecedented functionality and performance when scanning and post-processing with Micro.
Recording without markers for Artec Ray
A real milestone! With Artec Studio 14, users of the Artec Ray 3D long-distance laser scanner now have the ability to make global recordings of geometry alone at an incredible speed without the need to
to apply 2D spheres or markers. Outperforming any other scanner with similar sub-millimeter accuracy and angular accuracy, Ray delivers exceptional scans with minimal noise, resulting in reduced design time and outstanding results. In addition, users have the option of hybrid recording using 2D geometries + markers. Even with huge data sets, you’ll record your scans faster than you ever dreamed.

Advanced 3D modeling
Year after year, Artec scanners are always pioneers in capturing the full spectrum of colors. And now, with these new features and enhancements, 3D model makers and CGI specialists can bring the magic of 3D to the screen or AR and VR applications in a fraction of the time previously required.
Removing light reflections
Every scanning technician knows that even the slightest reflection of light can ruin their 3D models. But removing but removing these flashes manually takes an infinite amount of time. With the new Glare Removal feature, based on PBR (Physically Based Rendering), it’s a whole different story. In fact, Artec Studio 14 allows you to adjust the level of light reflection removal in a single click. Ideal for 3D modeling, 3D color printing, CGI and other applications.
Bridges
Repairing holes in 3D scans can be a time-consuming and time-consuming process. Now Artec Studio 14 has made it a lot easier with the new Bridges feature, which allows you to organically repair and seal holes and gaps in your scans like never before. Working on the existing scan geometry, Bridges lets you zoom in from multiple angles, giving you a bird’s-eye view of the 3D landscape as you create custom edges, angles, and indentations between the edges of your 3D object, or even connect two separate geometric parts! So with just a few mouse clicks, all scan openings, splits and craters are a thing of the past. Custom settings for curvature and smoothing.

Automatic dynamic brightness
When scanning, especially under irregular lighting conditions and high contrasts, it is essential to avoid overexposure of your object. With the new Dynamic Auto Brightness from Artec Studio 14, the software’s visual differentiation algorithms take care of everything for you. The program automatically customizes the brightness to optimal levels both during the preview and throughout the entire duration of the scan, setting the correct brightness levels for both dark and light objects, even if you have different lighting conditions in the same field of view. The end result is a perfectly exposed scan every time you scan.
Automatic positioning with one click
You only need one click to set the default position of your 3D object in Artec Studio 14. This way the object appears exactly in the position you chose each time you open the file. Whether it’s a 3D scan of a person who has to stay in a specific position, or a technical scan of a machine or a part where differentiation between left and right is crucial, Artec Studio 14 knows how to deal with it. Particularly useful for medical applications.
Advanced Autopilot Mode
Fully automated or semi-automatic? Thanks to Artec Studio 14 users of Leo, Eva and Space Spider can now choose whether or not to include Auto-Align in the process. This optional feature provides real-time savings, allowing users to decide on the best route for their projects.
Simplified registration
By further cutting the scan processing workflow time, the new advanced recording workflow completely skips the Fine Registration step, allowing faster recording without any sacrifice in quality. Users can still opt to perform Fine Registration if desired.
Notification sound
Now, to help you save even more time while working with Artec Studio 14, after completing each long process (greater than 30 seconds), users will hear a pleasant audio notification. This convenient feature gives you the freedom to focus on other tasks, knowing that you’ll be back exactly when it’s time for the next step.
Sequence animation
Watch your scans come to life on the screen during sequences like global recording. Ideal for having a clear view of the appearance of your objects before and after each operation, as well as control of the success of the project.
Simplify your meshes in a flash
Optimize the size of your final file by reducing the number of polygons from millions to thousands, while maintaining the high quality of the mesh.

Texture mapping speed
Imagine an 800% increase in texture mapping speed. Once you click the Stop button, the scan will be ready faster than ever. Artec Studio 14 has the fastest and most efficient texture mapping algorithms ever made, which translates into more scans in less time. And much more like Auto Export Naming, Variable Eraser Color, and Simplified Type Detection Scanner. All designed to make your work with Artec Studio 14 more efficient and faster than ever before.
