Figure 4 makes 3D production a reality with greater productivity, durability, repeatability and reduced total cost of operation (TCO). Digital and high speed moulding
Figure 4 offers fast additive manufacturing technology in discrete modules, allowing it to be placed on automated assembly lines and integrated with secondary processes, including washing, drying and curing of end-use parts. Digital stamping reduces development costs, increases productivity by eliminating set-up time and costs.
The digital injection moulding process speeds up and simplifies production with the automation of the production of low volume plastic parts. Figure 4 offers repeatable, CAD-focused part accuracy with an agile, in-line production level.
Modular platform grows with production needs
Supplied in units that can be configured for scalability at any time, the Figure 4 enables production capacity to grow with demand: from an independent printer for rapid prototyping and direct production of low 3D volumes, to modular systems that grow with increasing volume, to a fully automated and integrated factory solution.

3D Systems’ Materials Design Center has over 30 years of proven experience in process research and development. The production grade materials available for Figure 4 include a wide range of materials to enable a real replacement of traditional molding and urethane casting.
Increases workflow with 3D sprint
Figure 4 uses 3D Sprint™, 3D Systems’ advanced software for preparing, editing, printing and managing files from a single intuitive interface. 3D Sprint enables the customer to significantly reduce the cost of ownership of 3D printers by reducing the need for expensive software from third party vendors. 3D Sprint automatically generates exceptionally efficient media that requires much less material, which can lead to significant savings.
3D Connect brings a new level of management to 3D production, with fleet monitoring and remote diagnostic applications.

It combines additive manufacturing design flexibility into adaptive manufacturing modules to provide a customizable and automated direct 3D solution.
It produces more than 1 million parts per year in a wide range of industrial, dental and custom materials.
Integrated automation and post-processing
Figure 4 is an integrated digital production solution with an end-to-end digital workflow supported by dedicated software for 3D systems. Figure 4 delivers up to 15x faster print speed than other 3D printing technologies, automated material handling and integrated post-processing, such as washing, drying and curing, to reduce manual processes and facilitate automation for high-volume production.
The combination of speed and precision, complemented by a light filter-based UV curing process that only takes a few minutes and heat-based curing processes, results in the world’s fastest additive production and time-to-part. Recent data show the Figure 4 machine from a printing speed of parts in production up to 65 mm/h and prototyping up to 100 mm/h, and also has the accuracy and repeatability of Six Sigma parts (Cpk > 2) on all materials.

Figure 4 includes a wide range of materials, over 30 materials:

Figure 4 JCAST-GRN 10 is a pourable green material optimized for casting jewelry models.
Figure 4 is compatible with 3D Systems’ full range of NextDent™ resins to facilitate complete customization of dental devices, as well as a resin for orthodontic instruments. Purchasers of Figure 4 also have the opportunity to work with 3D Systems engineers to create unique resins designed specifically for the project.
