Carbon Fiber Printing – 3DZ # 1 for Markforged
January 30, 2018 in Archive
The 3DZ group is the first reseller in Italy of Markforged, a brand of state of the art 3D printers for mechanical printing, resistant to mechanical stress.
Markforged, from Massachussets, entered the 3D print landscape relatively late in 2013. It already has a complete product range in its portfolio, starting from 6,499 euro.
The goal of the then start-up was to solve a production problem: traditional processes such as machining or casting produced high quality parts, but with long delivery times and very high costs.
In a few years, with growth of around 300% year-on-year, Markforged has positioned itself among the leaders, capturing the attention of investors such as Microsoft and Siemens who have recently invested 30 million dollars in the company
Today Markforged boasts customers like Microsoft, Google, NASA, Rolls Royce, Adidas and many others in its portfolio.
3DZ has participated in the American company’s success at the annual meeting of world resellers held in New Orleans, the home of jazz. Indeed 3DZ not only confirmed itself as the first Markforged retailer for the Italian market, but also ranked among the top 5 resellers worldwide.

Markforged Metal X
A printer that will revolutionize the market: no longer metal dust (e. g. steel), but a filament (consisting of metal, wax and thickener) that is extruded like a normal filament, and then sintered in suitable furnaces. A clean, simple and safe process that revolutionizes the industry. No more lasers, dust management and dedicated systems. Everything simple and clean.
3DZ was able to see Metal X in operation, see the process and manufactured parts, waiting for the first deliveries.
