3DS transforms digital dentistry with the acquisition of Dental Materials Pioneer NextDent
Print 3D and resins for the dental industry – 3D Systems with the acquisition of Nextdent, world leader in the production of resins, is positioned at the center of the market
3D Systems has recently announced the acquisition of NextDent, a company of Vertex-Group Global Holding B.V. a global leader in dental materials. For years, Nextdent has specialized in the production and marketing of special resins for 3D printing with unique solutions, especially for certified biocompatible resins. Presently, Nextdent features 12 resins dedicated solely to the industry, all certified in 70 countries.
With this acquisition, 3D Systems, is positioned at the center of the market, adding on to the already existing range of 3D printers for dental applications (ProJet 3600 Dental, ProJet 6000/7000, Prox 100/200/300) and the innovative platform Figure 4. This 3D printing platform, Figures 4, allows the production at great speed, automating the production process.
Vertex dental and NextDent are global leaders in the production of materials used for dental applications. With a portfolio of wraparound resins for 3D printing, Vertex and NextDent are already approved by appointed bodies in the medial field with the required certification, and materials used in more than 70 countries around the world.

Connie Peterse-van der Koppel instead, Chief Development Officer of Regulatory & NextDent & Vertex Dental, will take care of certifications in this area are crucial to future development.
